Highland Home

Virginia Highland, Atlanta, GA

Project Type: Residential Interior Design
Space: Full Home Redesign & Remodel
Location: Virginia Highland
Nearby Areas: Poncey Highland, Druid Hills
City: Atlanta, GA

  • This project transforms a classic home into a modern one. All while preserving neighborhood character. After a thoughtful second story addition, the interiors now lean minimalist, pairing saturated greens and sculptural black accents with oak cabinetry.

This project reflects the types of residential interiors we do in Virginia Highland and nearby neighborhoods. Updated layouts, materials, and details that feel current without chasing trends.

  • Create a home that keeps daily life simple and the look calm after the two story addition. All while matching the neighborhood’s scale, rooflines, porches, and classic styles.

  • In the kitchen, saturated greens meet oak cabinetry, with white counters and quiet brass. A short arch opens to a bar with deep green base cabinets, square zellige tile, and a tall cabinet with a mesh door.

The breakfast nook uses a built-in bench in a matching green, a sculpted pedestal table, and a linear three shade light that spreads soft, even light.

The dining room is a study in tone: dark painted walls, cane back chairs, neutral drapery, and a two shade pendant over a wood table.

The living room centers a white painted brick fireplace with simple millwork, light textiles, and warm wood accents.

The primary bath pairs an oak vanity and marble tops with brass plumbing; a paneled tub in a soft green and tailored Roman shades keep the room calm.

  • Deep Sage Cabinetry + Matte Zellige

Color saturated lowers and variegated tile add depth without visual noise.

    Oak Millwork + Black Accents

Warm oak casework grounds the rooms. Sculptural black hardware and fixtures add definition.

    Earthy Pendants + Woven Stools

Earthy rugs and woven leather seating bring texture and warmth to the kitchen island.

    Arched Mirrors + Marbled Basins

Soft geometry and tactile sinks give the baths a refined, everyday utility.
