Fitz Kitchen

Lenox Park, Atlanta, GA

Project Type: Residential Interior Design
Space: Kitchen Remodel
Location: Morningside
Nearby Areas: Virginia-Highland, Ansley Park
City: Atlanta, GA

  • The Fitz Kitchen was designed as a hardworking space with a warm, easy presence. The client cooks often, entertains casually, and wanted a kitchen that would last, avoiding fleeting trends without falling into safe or bland.

  • The kitchen needed to handle daily use while staying calm and composed. The layout had to be open enough for gatherings but defined enough for cooking and prep to happen without overlap. Visual warmth was important, as was durability that would hold up over time.

  • We worked toward a balance of clean lines, natural materials, and quiet detail. Cabinetry was streamlined, allowing the stone and tile selections to stand out. Storage was fully integrated, with no excess hardware or open shelving to break the flow.

Lighting was layered for function, not spectacle. Under-cabinet strips, simple pendants, and directional ceiling lights keep work areas bright while maintaining a warm atmosphere. The palette is neutral but textured, creating a space that feels tailored yet lived in.

  • Integrated Storage and Seamless Cabinetry
Custom panels and low-profile pulls keep storage flush, maintaining a consistent visual field and letting the materials lead.

    Natural Stone and Soft Tile
A mix of stone surfaces and textured tile adds depth and variation without competing for attention.

    Functional Zones
Prep, cooking, and clean-up areas are clearly defined so the kitchen works smoothly whether cooking solo or with company.

    Lighting That Supports Use
Fixtures provide both clarity and comfort, bright for tasks, warm for hosting, and adaptable throughout the day.
