West Midtown Kitchen & Bath

West Midtown, Atlanta, GA

Project Type: Residential Interior Design
Space: Kitchen, Pantry, Bath
Location: West Midtown
Nearby Areas: Riverside, Grove Park
City: Atlanta, GA

  • A kitchen led remodel with updates to the kitchen, pantry, and bath. The plan needed to favor everyday cooking, easy hosting and storage that keeps counters clear. A simple, nature leaning palette and a few repeated details make the rooms feel uniform without matching.

  • Keep the kitchen bright and composed. Support direct movement between sink, range, and refrigerator. Size the island and aisles so prep and seating do not compete. Use storage that keeps surfaces clear, and carry a few key finishes into the pantry and bath for continuity.

  • Plan and circulation

Maintain clear paths through the kitchen and into the pantry; give the sink wall generous landing space and keep small appliances off the counters.

    Palette and texture

Sage green cabinetry, a light veined counter, and square backsplash tile with glaze variation set the kitchen’s tone; open wood shelves and a wood wrapped hood add warmth.

    Pantry

Dark painted cabinetry, wood tone work tops, and a patterned floor define a compact, organized room for storage and appliances.

    Primary bath

Vertical green tile, black and brass fixtures, a freestanding tub, and a soft Roman shade keep the bath simple and finished.

  • Green cabinetry with black hardware
Green cabinets set the color field, and black accents help define the space at a glance. This contrast between light and dark keeps the kitchen from feeling washed out next to the light counters and tiled areas.

    Square tile with subtle variation
Small shifts in tone and sheen break up reflections and give the wall a soft, hand made look. It adds depth without becoming a busy pattern, which helps the counters and shelves stay the focus.

    Open wood tone shelves
Two simple shelves add a warm horizontal line at eye level. They visually link to the wood wrapped hood so the cooking wall reads as one composition.

    Wood wrapped hood
Cladding the hood in the same wood tone as the shelves ties those elements together and sets a surprisingly quiet focal point above the cooktop.

    Light, veined counters
A pale surface bounces available light back into the room. The fine veining adds just enough pattern to keep long sections of counter from feeling flat.

Organized pantry in a darker finish
The deeper color separates storage zones from the kitchen. A patterned floor gives orientation and hides wear in a high traffic space.

Bath with vertical green tile and mixed metals
Tall vertical tile lines make the walls feel higher and guide the eye around the tub and shower. Black and brass fittings add definition and a few calm points of contrast against the green.
